Crown recognises the importance of continued staff training and development and we have well established programmes, both in-house and with external training providers.

We also actively support our employees attending specific product installation courses and product awareness courses to enhance individual skills across the latest products, solutions and techniques in the sector (such as Altro Whiterock installation courses).

All staff complete regular training covering health and safety, moving and handling, asbestos awareness, fire safety and other areas we consider mandatory. Wider training programmes are built around each individual, accounting for their role and progression.

We have on-site training facilities including flooring installation training bays supporting our apprentice programme as well as refresh training for operatives.

Our installation and tradesmen teams are qualified (or working towards) NVQ Level 2 with many going on to becoming site supervisors and attain SSSTS and SMSTS accreditations.

As a leading Member of the CFA (Contract Flooring Association ) we work in conjunction with Colleges around the UK to ensure Workplace Schemes are developed, sustained & supported.

We regularly provide Contract Managers & Installation Supervisors free of charge to these Colleges to give technical/seminar support.

Our teams are also involved in supporting the MoJ in developing work based skills training for inmates as part of their training initiative.
